March Stamp Class

I wanted to share my projects for this month’s class.  We are going to make an Easter treat with chocolate eggs, a paper-pieced balloon card, a watercolor card and a really cute Easter card that I CASEd (copy and share everything) from my good friend, Bobbie.   If you are in the San Antonio area, I hope that you can attend my class on Saturday, March 11th at Alamo Craft… Read More »

February Stamp Class

I have officially moved back into my fifth-wheel RV, but I am still trying to get everything organized.  Small spaces are good but everything has to have a place and I have too much stuff that doesn’t have its own place yet.  I hope to get there mostly this month – wish me luck! I have planned my February Stamp Class and wanted to share the projects with you.  If… Read More »

Valentine Cookie Pouch

I have been extremely negligent in updating my blog and I apologize!  No excuses, but I will update my status soon.  But for today, I wanted to share a cute little bag just the right size for a decorated cookie (mine came from WalMart, but you could make your own if you want). You could use the Glassine Gift Bags on page 176 of the Annual Stampin’ Up! catalog, but… Read More »

Stitched Shapes Framelits!

Stampin’ Up! has released a new product early – just in time for our holiday projects!  I am very excited about these Stitched Shapes framelits – 12 shapes (4 each circles, ovals, and squares) with a faux-stitching impression just inside the cutting line!  And a bonus!  9 stamp sets that go really well in the framelits are 25% off this month. First, the Framelits: The sizes are the same as… Read More »

Join us for a  fun day of stamping and crafting!  Be sure to put this on one your calendar!  You can select one option, two options, or all three!  And if you make it a day, you will probably want lunch, too! 🙂 We are still working on designing our projects for you, but I will keep you updated as time goes on.  We’ll be using stamps and accessories from… Read More »

Floral Phrases – Simple Elegance

Continuing with sharing cards made some of my team members, Alicia made these elegant cards with the new Floral Phrases bundle.  Breathtaking! Alicia has a successful wedding card business and you can see why.  Check out this white on white card with just a touch of bling.  You probably can’t tell from this photo, but the Shimmery White cardstock is perfect! Some of the samples used: Floral Phrases Clear-Mount Bundle… Read More »

Penned & Painted

This is an amazing stamp set!  The images are so artistic and yet, you don’t have to have an artistic bone in your body to make beautiful art!  That being said, these cards were made by the very talented Alicia Craig, who also makes beautiful wedding cards! The first card takes advantage of the dots and little flower images to make a lively background.  The embossed “thanks” is the perfect… Read More »

Affectionately Yours – with Copper

More team swap cards – these by Bobbie.  The Affectionately Yours Suite is one of my favorites – so bright and cheerful! The Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper has copper accents on some of the paper and we have also re-introduced copper embossing powder back into the line – so on trend right now!  And check out the copper thread! Here are some of the supplies that Bobbie used:… Read More »

Swirly Birds – Let’s Fly a Kite!

Continuing with my team’s wonderful swap cards, today I want to share Bobbie’s Swirly Birds cards.  I believe that the Swirly Bird stamp set and matching thinlits bundle is the most popular item in the catalog – and here are a couple of reasons why! As always, if you want to order any of the supplies to make these cards or if you have questions, feel free to email me!… Read More »

Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set and Thinlits

Several of my team members get together and do a swap from the new catalogs where we each select 2 stamp sets and make 2 samples from each set.  With 8 people in the swap this time, that meant that I needed to make 32 cards (2 sets times 2 samples time 8 people).  I really enjoyed making my samples but I have loved seeing everyone’s creations even more! Today… Read More »

Jr. Legal Portfolio

These were popular a few years ago but I think they are timeless and so appropriate even now.  I made these for my team members that will be attending our upcoming convention next month. I found directions online and then I added the inside pocket because, well, because I like pockets! I think I will make some of these to sell in my booth at Alamo Craft Company. Here are… Read More »

My Craft Booth

I decided to try having a craft booth at Alamo Craft Company in San Antonio.  A year or two ago, I had good luck selling off stamped cards made from years of swapping, so I thought it would be fun.  Here is my booth so far: I know I will be making changes; actually, every time I go in there, I change it a little bit.  So far, I have… Read More »

Tryouts for Stampin’ Up! Convention

I’m excited to be going to Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage celebration (convention) next month!  They are looking for people to create display boards for the event, and even though I have never done this before, I decided to apply for the honor.  They want 3 cards fronts, 1 scrapbook page, and 2 3-D items. From the hostess set in the Occasions Catalog.  I like to sew almost as much as I… Read More »

Tin of Cards

I think I might be the last Stampin’ Up! demonstrator to make this kit.  Back when the catalog came out last summer, I ordered it but then forgot about it.  Until this week.  WOW!  What a great kit!!  The kit comes with the tin (of course), the dividers, and all the consumable supplies to make 16 cards (4 of each).  T In addition, you will need the Tin of Cards… Read More »

Love You Sew

When the Stampin’ Up! 2016 Occasions catalog was revealed at our Convention event in November, I fell in love with the “Love You Sew” stamp set, an exclusive hostess only set.  Normally, I would have had to wait until January to place a qualifying order in order to get this set, but as a convention-goer, I had the opportunity to purchase it then.  I did struggle somewhat with the decision… Read More »

Getting Settled in a Real House

So, after 15 months living in a (real nice, large) fifth wheel, I couldn’t do it anymore.  I realized that I liked my space too much and missed the sturdy walls of a real house.  So the fifth wheel is up for sale and I am renting a nice house near Sea World in San Antonio.  I have been doing some stamping (but really need to finish the unpacking and… Read More »
