Love You Sew

When the Stampin’ Up! 2016 Occasions catalog was revealed at our Convention event in November, I fell in love with the “Love You Sew” stamp set, an exclusive hostess only set.  Normally, I would have had to wait until January to place a qualifying order in order to get this set, but as a convention-goer, I had the opportunity to purchase it then.  I did struggle somewhat with the decision… Read More »

March Paper Pumpkin Kit

I LOVE this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit because it combines sewing and paper crafting!  I made these 9 cards and still have a 12-piece stamp set and mini-ink pad to use on other projects. The only things I needed that weren’t included in the kit were a pair of scissors and a flosser (to thread the needle!)  If you want a new project box in your mailbox every month, check… Read More »

Paper Pumpkin this Month

This month’s Paper Pumpkin kit arrived yesterday and it is SO cool!  Here’s what comes in the box: And here is how it is made: The project is an accordion card with die-cut, self-adhesive felt letters.  The folded up card fits perfectly in a kraft box.  The only thing needed that doesn’t come in the box is a pair of scissors.  And did I tell you that the kit has… Read More »

Pretty as a Picture

Stampin’ Up!’s Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper (137784) is so pretty that it is shown in the catalog framed. Well, I figured, why not take it a step further and decorate a painter’s tray-style frame? I added some die-cut butterflies from our new Butterflies Thinlits Dies (137360).  It took me a few tries to figure out the correct “sandwich” in my Big Shot.  I finally ended up with the Magnetic… Read More »

Easy Easter Card

Some people like to spend hours and hours crafting the perfect card, but I really like the simple ones best.  Like this elegant Easter card.  If you wanted to make this card for Easter, you would actually have time to order the supplies, get them delivered, make the cards, and have them in the mail in time for Easter! Here is what I used: Stamps: Blessed Easter (133212); Happy Watercolor… Read More »

International Women’s Day!

From www.internationalwomensday.com: International Women’s Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. In some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, International Women’s Day is a national holiday. I say that everyday is a good day to celebrate women (where would the world be without them?) but March 8th is as good a day as any!! I have… Read More »

Purging the Crafting Area

Let me introduce you to my crafting Studio.  This is a separate building from my home and it is about 800 square feet.  My ongoing task is to compress down my studio to about 100 square feet.  Yikes! This is the existing studio.  You are only seeing the classroom part and maybe later I will show more but you get the idea that I have alot of room, right? For… Read More »
