Well, our trip was delayed about 5 weeks after the hail storm – not too bad, actually, considering what we had to do to get ready: I had to buy a new car and make some of the repairs on my trailer and shed (more on that in a future post) and my brother had to replace several windows on his truck and replace his fifth wheel. So, we headed out on Thursday, June 10th and over the next week, traveling through 7 states so far (Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio – in case you were wondering).
We stayed one night in Livingston, TX at the KOA there, then 4 nights in Arkansas at Parker Creek Lake (Murfreesboro) and one night at a KOA in Marion), then one night at Miles Landing in Elberfeld, Indiana. I really liked that one. Currently, we are in Zanesville, Ohio for 4 nights at National Road Campground and then we are headed to Lancaster, Pennsylvania for another 4 nights before continuing north. FYI, as a crafter, I had a hard time not collecting pinecones at Parker Creek Lake!
You might be asking “What? No crafting?” Fear not! I have been working on an afghan – one with different squares. So far, I have done 9. The directions, which state “Skill Level: Advanced”, are very vague – I have had a heck of a time! But I think it will be pretty when it is done.
I love your update! Sounds like fun 🙂 you have mail📬
Thank you – yes, it really fun!! I guess my Paper Pumpkin was delivered! So easy to change the address on my account when I need to. Maybe, if we have time, we can work on it together. 🙂
